Bomberg painted a series of complex geometric compositions combining the influences of cubism and futurism in the years...
after his experiences in the trenches in ww1 he leaned more toward modernism and used a more figurative style in the 1920's where he began to draw portraits and landscapes mainly from nature. Gradually developing a modernist style he travelled through the middle east and through Europe.
he has a very bold technique using expressive brush marks and with a semi-abstract style, mainly leaning towards a realistic style.
This is the artist I have chosen to influence my first painting for townscape.
